As a Solar Designer Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of solar energy systems. You will work collaboratively with project managers, technicians, and clients to create efficient, effective, and aesthetically pleasing solar solutions. Your expertise will help ensure that our projects meet both technical and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Design: Develop detailed solar designs using software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope) that maximize energy production while considering site constraints and client requirements.
- Load Analysis: Conduct energy load analysis to determine system size and specifications, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and installation teams to provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Site Assessments: Perform site evaluations to assess suitability for solar installations, including shading analysis and structural assessments.
- Documentation: Prepare and present design proposals, technical reports, and project documentation for stakeholders and clients.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance design processes and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Proven experience in solar design or engineering, preferably in residential or commercial projects.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, or similar).
- Strong understanding of solar technology, electrical systems, and industry standards.
